The GRK RSS™ Rugged Structural Screw is the premier alternative to traditional lag bolts, engineered to provide exceptional tensile, torque, and shear strength without the need for time-consuming pre-drilling. Designed for heavy-duty applications, these high-performance fasteners feature a patented design that allows for faster installation and superior drawing power in wood-to-wood connections. The built-in washer head provides immense holding power and a low-profile finish, making it ideal for structural framing, ledger boards, deck posts, and playground equipment.
Performance Features
- Zip-Tip™ Technology: Pointed tip design that bites instantly into wood and eliminates the need for pre-drilling in most applications.
- W-Cut™ Thread: Patented low-torque design that reduces friction on the screw shank, leading to 20% faster drive times and reduced battery wear.
- CEE Thread™: Enlarges the screw hole for the non-threaded portion of the fastener, allowing wood to settle easily and increasing the screw's drawing strength.
- Climatek™ Coating: AC257 code-approved coating providing superior corrosion resistance for both interior and exterior use, specifically approved for pressure-treated lumber.
- Recessed Star Drive: Features 6 points of contact to eliminate stripping and provide zero-wobble productivity.
- Hardened Steel: Case-hardened construction ensures high tensile and shear strength for critical structural loads.
