Why does Wise Line Tools use Shop Pay instead of a separate Affirm button?
Wise Line Tools is powered by Shopify. Shopify has partnered directly with Affirm Canada Holdings Ltd. to integrate monthly installment financing directly into Shop Pay.
This means you do not need to look for an "Affirm" button at checkout. Simply choose Shop Pay (or click "Buy with Shop" on the product page), and Affirm will automatically provide and underwrite your monthly installment options during checkout.
Does checking my eligibility affect my credit score?
No. Checking your eligibility through Shop Pay / Affirm uses a soft credit inquiry, which has zero impact on your credit score.
Once you accept an installment loan, your regular monthly payments may be reported to Canadian credit bureaus according to Affirm Canada policies.
What are the order amount limits for financing?
On Wise Line Tools, monthly installments through Shop Pay are available for orders with totals between $300.00 CAD and $15,000.00 CAD (inclusive of applicable taxes and shipping).
If your cart total is below $300 CAD, standard full payment options (Credit Card, PayPal, Google Pay) remain available.
Are there late fees or prepayment penalties?
No. There are no late fees or prepayment penalties. If you miss a scheduled payment, you won't be charged a late fee, though it may affect your eligibility for future installment plans.
You can also pay off your balance early at any time with no prepayment penalty or additional interest charges.
Who is eligible to use Shop Pay Installments in Canada?
To qualify for Shop Pay Installments in Canada, you must:
- Be a resident of Canada with a Canadian shipping address.
- Be at least 18 years old (or 19+ if residing in BC, NB, NL, NT, NS, NU, or YT).
- Have a Canadian mobile phone number capable of receiving SMS codes.
- Have a supported Canadian Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card.
How do I manage my monthly payments or update my payment method?
You can manage your installment schedule, view upcoming payments, or update your payment method through the Shop app or by logging directly into your account at helpcenter.affirm.ca.
You will also receive automatic email and SMS reminders before each monthly payment is processed.
Can I return an item purchased with Shop Pay Installments?
Yes. Returns follow the standard Wise Line Tools Return Policy. Once your return is received and inspected at our Regina warehouse, the refund amount will be automatically applied to your Shop Pay / Affirm balance.
Any payments you have already made will be refunded back to your original payment method, and future installments will be canceled.
