The Drillco Multi-Step Drill Bit is a premium industrial-grade taper shank drill engineered for high-performance drilling in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Designed for use in drill presses and lathes equipped with Morse Taper spindles, this tool features a robust High Speed Steel (HSS) construction that maintains hardness even at elevated operating temperatures. The black oxide surface treatment enhances lubricity, effectively reducing friction and preventing chip welding, which significantly extends the tool's service life in heavy-duty applications.
Performance Features
- High-Speed Steel Construction: Provides superior durability and heat resistance for consistent performance in alloy steels and cast iron.
- Morse Taper #3 Shank: Precision-ground shank ensures a secure, high-torque fit in standard industrial machinery spindles.
- Black Oxide Finish: Improved chip flow and heat dissipation through a porous surface that retains cutting fluids more effectively.
- General Purpose Geometry: Features a standard 118-degree point angle, ideal for versatile drilling across multiple material types.
- Heavy-Duty Design: Engineered to withstand the high axial forces required for large-diameter hole production.
