The GRK RSS (Rugged Structural Screw) is a high-performance alternative to traditional lag screws, designed to provide superior strength and ease of installation without the need for pre-drilling. Engineered from specially hardened steel, these screws offer exceptional tensile, torque, and shear strength for critical structural applications. The 5/16" x 3-1/2" profile is specifically optimized for heavy-duty framing, deck substructures, and ledger board attachments where code-approved reliability is paramount.
- Climatek™ Coating: ICC-ES AC257 approved for use in treated lumber, providing long-lasting corrosion resistance in both interior and exterior environments.
- CEE-Thread™ Technology: Enlarges the screw hole for the non-threaded portion of the fastener, reducing friction and drawing substrates together with massive clamping force.
- W-Cut™ Thread Design: Functions like a saw blade to cut through wood fibers, significantly lowering installation torque and preventing wood splitting.
- Recessed Star Drive: Features six points of contact for zero-strip performance and maximum power transfer during high-torque driving.
- ICC-ES ESR-2442: Fully code-compliant and recognized for structural integrity in residential and commercial construction.
