The GRK RSS™ Rugged Structural Screw is the ultimate high-performance alternative to traditional lag screws, specifically engineered for heavy-duty timber applications. Manufactured from specially hardened carbon steel, these fasteners provide exceptional tensile, torque, and shear strength, ensuring structural integrity in demanding projects. The patented Climatek™ coating offers superior corrosion resistance, making these screws suitable for use in pressure-treated lumber and intermittent moisture environments. Featuring a unique low-profile washer head, the RSS™ screw provides a massive bearing surface that eliminates the need for separate washers while offering a clean, flush finish.
- Zip-Tip™ Technology: Pointed tip bites instantly into wood, eliminating the need for pre-drilling and reducing the risk of splitting.
- W-Cut™ Thread Design: Reduces installation torque by acting like a saw blade, allowing for faster driving and extended battery life for power tools.
- Climatek™ Coating: ICC-ES AC257 certified for high-corrosion environments and ground-contact lumber.
- Integrated Washer Head: Large head diameter provides immense clamping force and centers the screw in pre-drilled hardware.
- Star Drive Recess: Features six points of contact for zero stripping and maximum torque transfer.
