The GRK RSS™ (Rugged Structural Screw) is the premier alternative to traditional lag screws, specifically engineered for heavy-duty structural applications. Manufactured from case-hardened steel, these high-performance fasteners offer superior tensile, torque, and shear strength. The patented design features an integrated washer head with cutting teeth that seats cleanly without the need for additional washers or pre-drilling. Whether you are securing ledger boards, deck posts, or timber frames, the GRK 10275 provides an exceptionally strong connection with significantly lower installation effort compared to conventional hardware.
Performance Features
- Climatek™ Coating: ICC-ES AC257 code-approved for use in pressure-treated lumber and exterior environments.
- Zip-Tip™ Technology: Eliminates the need for pre-drilling and enables faster penetration through even the densest hardwoods.
- CEE Thread™: Enlarges the screw hole for the non-threaded shank, reducing friction and increasing drawing strength while preventing wood splitting.
- W-Cut™ Thread Design: Functions like a saw blade to clear away debris, resulting in lower driving torque and a smoother installation.
- T-40 Star Drive: Provides six points of contact to eliminate cam-out and stripping during high-torque applications.
