Are DEWALT 20V MAX and FLEXVOLT batteries interchangeable?
DEWALT 20V MAX, 20V MAX XR, POWERSTACK and FLEXVOLT batteries all work in 20V MAX tools. FLEXVOLT batteries are dual-voltage: they run as 20V in 20V MAX tools and automatically switch to 60V (or 120V with two batteries) in FLEXVOLT tools. 12V MAX batteries are a separate, smaller platform and are not interchangeable with 20V MAX tools.
