The Laguna 8” Wedgebed Jointer ShearTec II Cutterhead is the perfect “step-up” jointer with increased capacity for serious woodworking. The oversized tables provide plenty of support to easily flatten long, wide boards while the large center mounted cast-iron fence allows for maximum stock support when edge jointing. The cast-iron in-feed and out-feed tables feature independent adjustment on dovetail ways. The Laguna ShearTec II is at the cutting edge of Spiral Cutterhead technology today. Deep gullets allow chips to exit fast & keep the head clean. The inserts are made from thicker solid German carbide & set into the head on a flat surface rather than a cone design. This allows more torque to be used when tightening the inserts. All of the inserts are slightly angled to give a shear type cut with low impact & less kick-back action. The leading edge is crowned to minimize lines appearing. Laguna ShearTec II heads are all 6 row; most competitors’ heads offer just 3 or 4 rows. There obviously are a host of benefits associated from the additional rows: More carbide inserts, longer life, less noise and vibration, less kick-back & smoother finish.

- Parallelogram Table Adjustments – Table depth adjustments travel along an arc to keep the same distance to the cutterhead through its travel
- Emergency Knee-Stop – The new knee stop uses a body-length bar at knee height to shut off the JX jointer. This important safety feature allows the machine operator to stop the machine quickly at any position along the front of the machine while keeping hands on the workpiece
- New Ergonomic Machine Body – The new JX Series machine body has been redesigned with a toe-kick to allow the user to position themselves closer to the machine tables and to move safer and easier along the length of the machine
- In-feed Support Roller – Infeed tables are now fitted with pull-out support roller to help support longer materials
- QuadTec I Cutterhead – The all-new QuadTec I cuttherhead comes as standard equipment on the new JX-8 QuadTec ll. The QuadTec ll produces an amazing surface finish on all woods including difficult hardwoods. The QuadTec I uses 4-sided carbide insert knives that are quieter and much more durable compared to straight HSS knives. The 4-sided knives can be rotated for a new cutting edge without the need for a knife setting jig

How long will it take to get my order?
Typical delivery times after your order ships: 1–2 business days in Ontario; 3–5 in Quebec, the Atlantic provinces (NS, NB, PE) and the Prairies; 5–8 in BC and Newfoundland & Labrador. Expedited shipping is available at extra cost on request.
Most in-stock orders placed by 12:00 PM ET (Monday–Friday) ship the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 PM ET, on weekends or on holidays ship the next business day.
Large, overweight and LTL freight orders may need 1 or more extra business days to prepare.
What shipping carriers do you use?
Most orders are shipped courier via Purolator, UPS, or Canada Post. We will use other carriers at our own descretion depending on Product size and weight.

I only received part of my order, where is the rest?
Your order may ship in more than one package depending on the quantity or size of the products purchased. Also, items in your order may ship from either of our 2 locations and arrive in separate deliveries.
Sometimes we place smaller items from your order inside of one box to save on shipping so always open all boxes to confirm what you have recieved.
