Milwaukee M12™
Cordless System

Standard M12 tools utilize proven brushed motors designed for everyday light-duty and trade maintenance tasks. M12 FUEL™ tools integrate Milwaukee's high-tier triumvirate: POWERSTATE™ brushless motors, REDLINK PLUS™ digital intelligence, and REDLITHIUM™ battery technology. M12 FUEL delivers up to 4x longer motor life, higher torque, and extended sustained runtime for continuous commercial use.

Yes! Most Milwaukee chargers (such as the standard 48-59-1812, rapid charger 48-59-1808, and PACKOUT six-bay chargers) are multi-voltage combination chargers that accept both M12 pod batteries and M18 slide-on batteries simultaneously or sequentially.

M12 REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ batteries (CP2.5 and XC5.0) use larger, lower-resistance 21700 lithium-ion cells. They deliver up to 25% more instantaneous power under heavy demand (such as stubby impact breaking torque or band saw cuts) while running up to 25% cooler than standard M12 battery packs.

Milwaukee REDLITHIUM™ batteries feature proprietary cold-weather cell chemistry and REDLINK™ thermal circuitry rated to operate down to -18°C (0°F). For sub-zero operations, we recommend keeping spare battery packs warm inside your vehicle cab or heated jacket pocket until ready to insert into the tool.

M12 is the undisputed leader in professional automotive service bays. Tools like the M12 FUEL™ 1/2" and 3/8" Stubby Impact Wrenches deliver up to 250 ft-lbs of breakaway torque in a package under 5 inches long, easily fitting inside wheel wells and engine cradles. M12 high-speed and extended reach ratchets allow mechanics to zip fasteners out of cramped engine bays without hand fatigue.
