Yes. In October 2018, Hitachi Power Tools rebranded to Metabo HPT (Koki Holdings) in North America. The tools are engineered in the same facilities to the identical high Japanese standards, and all previous Hitachi 18V slide batteries and replacement parts remain 100% compatible.

Metabo HPT cordless nailers use a factory-sealed chamber of compressed air. When the trigger is pulled, a high-efficiency brushless motor compresses the piston, which releases instantly to drive the nail. Because the air is sealed in a closed loop, you never need to replace air cylinders or purchase expensive disposable gas fuel cartridges.

Yes! MultiVolt batteries feature intelligent onboard circuitry that automatically detects whether they are plugged into an 18V or 36V tool. In an 18V tool, the battery delivers 5.0Ah of extended runtime. In a 36V tool, it automatically switches circuits to output 36V at 2.5Ah for maximum torque.

Both brands operate under Koki Holdings. Metabo HPT specializes in residential and commercial carpentry, cordless fastening, and pneumatics based on Hitachi heritage. Metabo Germany specializes in heavy industrial metal fabrication, grinders, bevellers, and magnetic drills engineered in Nürtingen, Germany. Wise Line Tools carries both specialized lineups.

The NR1890DCAM cordless and NR83AA5 pneumatic nailers accept standard 30° to 34° paper-tape collated clipped-head or offset-round framing nails (2" to 3-1/2"). The iconic NV45AB2 pneumatic and NV1845DAM cordless roofing nailers accept standard 15° wire-collated coil roofing nails from 7/8" to 1-3/4".
